This week an impressive line-up of artists, performers, researchers and thinkers in the field of sound studies, sound art and sound research gathers in Copenhagen on the invitation from Jenny Gräf Sheppard, director of the Sound Laboratory of the Royal Danish Academy of the Fine Arts Copenhagen and the project Sounding Bodies.

From thursday to saturday the 18 contributors will provide talks and lectures to make you familiar with the various research areas regarding the aesthetic explorations of sound; additionally, you can attend a larger number of performances, installations and listening sessions to explore yourself the methods and approaches the artists and researchers have developed over the years.

The research group Sound & Sneses and the Sound Studies Lab support this experimental conference: We all consider this event one of the best ways to learn – in emphatic sense – how to do things with sound.

Please have a look in the programme with all abstracts and descriptions on the artists and researches participating.
