A new online sound art exhibition / archive featuring 100 sound art contribution by international artists curated by the ICA London went online this week. Browse through the beautiful designed interface and listen to the works in the coming 100 days.
“SOUNDWORKS is an online platform that doubles as a virtual exhibition space. For the project the ICA invited over one hundred artists, selected by the ICA and art institutions worldwide, to submit an audio work taking it’s stimulus from the themes evoked in Bruce Nauman’s seminal sound installation Days.
SOUNDWORKS embraces the ephemeral and peripatetic nature of sound in art today and takes a broader look at the range of work being produced in audio art. The project includes a wide range of audible approaches by artists who have been working with the medium for many years, as well as artists taking their first venture into sonic art.”
