At Leuphana University Lüneburg near Hamburg the 5th workshop of the international research network Sound in Media Culture takes place this weekend, May 11th/12th. We celebrate our internal workshop (in which we will mainly work on the selected articles of a research companion on sound, our final publication) with a public symposion on Friday afternoon: Four great researchers – Mark Butler, Steve Goodman Julian Henriques and Paul Théberge – will discuss their perspectives and hypothesis on the importance & influence of new technologies & new sound practices on contemporary sound cultures.
