Curriculum Vitae

Julia Krause (*1980) is research assistant at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Institut für Kulturwissenschaft, as part of the Sound Studies Lab. After some years as director assistant at Schauspielhaus Wuppertal, Düsseldorf and Hamburg, she studied applied theatre studies at Justus-Liebig Universität Giessen, Fine Arts at Dartington College of Arts (UK) and media art at Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst, Leipzig. She is working within the field of video-/audioinstallation and performance, as well as sound- and audiowalks. Her works are perceived in the gallery and theatre context. In the last years, amongst others: Internationale Schillertage Mannheim, Tanzpanorama / ID Frankfurt, RESONANZEN Festival fuer Hoerkunst Leipzig, Kunsthalle Exnergasse Wien, Künstlerhaus Mousonturm Frankfurt am Main as well as FLANEUR – Der Kongress am Schauspiel Frankfurt am Main.
