Curriculum Vitae

Thomas Macho (*1952) is professor for cultural history at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Institut für Kulturwissenschaft. He studied philosophy, musicology, and education. Currently he is preparing a publication on the critique of anthropology under the title of Tiere – Menschen – Maschinen. He was one of the co-founders of the Hermann von Helmholtz-Zentrum für Kulturtechnik. Recently he was fellow at the Internationales Kolleg für Kulturtechnikforschung und Medienphilosophie at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar 2008/2009.
